TBS stuff + Facial + Weird Hairdo

Yesterday was facial day. Before I met Keelyn for our dinner and facial appointment, I went to The Body Shop at JP with a childhood friend whom I recently reconciled in my employer company. Coincidentally she's working as temp staff in my company while waiting for her new semester to start, and she called out to me when she saw me a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't recognise her first because the last time I saw her, she's only a kid! Oh my, how much have she grown! Which also means by that much I've aged... =/

I went to The Body Shop because I was tempted by the TBS Shimmer Wave (bronzer/blush thingy) that my colleague bought. More so because of the irresistable price of the set that comes with a blush brush - $29.90 - which is a whooping 50% off!

I also bought the strawberry body polish and body lotion (so I'm gonna smell like an uber sweet strawberry), while my friend bought herself a Hi-Shine lippie that's very pretty but I didn't manage to take a picture of. The total loot, including her lippie, cost over 60 bucks and I got a White Musk Too EDP free!~ Great buy isn't it?

There are 3 shades available for the Shimmer Wave: peach, rose and bronze... which shade should I choose?


I bought rose in the end, a nice shimmery blush that adds shine and highlights to my face anytime. =)


This actual thingy with its case open. Ooooo~ the set comes with this TBS blush brush as well. Neat!

Met Keelyn for a super-filling dinner at The Soup Spoon then we had facial. I requested for face massage this time, because they've been using machines on me and I miss the great feeling of having the beautician's hands massage my saggy face with firm massage strokes. I was told my face is not suitable for massage thus they won't recommend it to me, but I love the feeling! The beautician warned that acnes might sprout in the next 2 days... do I care? =X I think I do, but I love massages more than I hate pimples!!! Kakaka~

After facial, Keelyn and I went to TCC at Boat Quay for a frappe each before heading home. I tried to clip up my hair the usual way to keep them from flying around - to bring half of the hair from ears to behind the hair and hold it - the usual way most long-hair ladies do. But I was bored with the normal way that everyone does - the same old boring way of clipping the hair right in the middle - so I tried to do something different. This was taken by Keelyn when we were at TCC.



Tried to do an asymmetrical style with my butterfly clip - held my hair back to the side instead of middle, and gave it a twist before I clipped it down in place. I wanted to make it looks like a butterfly is perched at the side of my head on my hair beside my ear, but it didn't really turn out well. At least it didn't look too normal... keke~ This was inspired by my many Japanese beauty magazines... with lots of hairstyling tips and many asymmetrical styles. The Japanese girls always style up their hair nicely, unlike us. Lazy me didn't do any styling to my hair, but girls like me love to be abnormal. And so I tried asymmetrical. Will try different ways of doing my hair up and post pics here if I manage to take some pics. =D

The nail, the old and the new

My nails yesterday and today:
I see so many people go nailart until so nice. But I can only do simple. Anyway even this simple one I did myself only lasted for one day cos nature of my job is very hands on with machines *sob* If spend $$ sure very wasted one. :(

My old set of makeup brushes bought around 3 to 5 years ago. I don't really remember when, but I remember it's from Bugis Seiyu, at around 10 bucks? Missing is the eyebrow brush.


My new set of makeup brushes bought 2 weeks ago from Takashimaya's Watsons at $5.90... I love it to bits~ Totally worth the super low price!!!

So crazy over lipglosses now

Seen the 2 Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses that I bought within this week?? Actually I always wanted to get "Pearl Plum"! It's in fact the first Revlon lippy that got me started lemming for Revlon Lustrous Lipglosses... but my sweet deardear doesn't like it cos it looks dark in the tube... *pouts*

I wanted to get "Pink Afterglow" too, but the glitters look quite chunky in the tube. Didn't really quite like having those on my lips. So in the end I bought the 2 that I've shown in my earlier posts: "Shine That Pink" and "Nude Peach". And i'm still thinking whether I should get "Pearl Plum"!!! Just heard that it's gonna be discontinued soon... I better go get it before I regret!! Wahahaha~ Cannot wait till it's outta stock then regret wor... everyone's eyeing my "Nude Peach" now... I'm so fortunate to be able to find it when it's outta stock almost everywhere else~ (^_^)v I'm thinking whether to buy another "Nude Peach" to keep too! *think think think* and maybe "Nude Lustre" or "Spiced Blush"! *LOL* I'm mad!!!

But this one is best... Just take a look at her MAC collection. No one can beat her! Simply awesome. 偶像！With all the limited editions and discontinued stuff, I believe she has more MAC items than the usual MAC counters in our departmental stores!!

Don't worry, I'm not intending to become a makeup-item-collector anytime soon. I still can't afford and I'd love to spend my $$ on other stuff too. Like a few more pairs of shoes and some more bags, etc. =P Collect so much for what, if I never use them at all... Right? In fact I'm still trying to learn how to use my own tiny collection of makeup stuff!!! Better learn first! Buy more later~~~ (^_^)v deedee加油！

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in "Nude Peach" on my lips. I'm still lemming for Pearl Plum (also Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss) although dear didn't like the dark shade on lips. OMG I'm going crazy!! At this rate my wallet's gonna wail in protest very very soon!!!

A pump bottle - like those used at manicure salons - to hold my nail polish remover. The leftover of my Sally Hansen remover filled up the bottle nicely. =D

Better go sayang sayang my wallet and make sure it won't scream... LOL~ And I even mentioned that I was gonna stop shopping for cosmetics in one of my earlier entry. Hahaha~ I'm totally hopeless!!

Went Isetan @ Wisma Atria last night for some makeup shopping! Why Isetan? Because I have an Isetan voucher which is expiring at end of this month... must make use!!

Why are Japanese makeup items all so kawaii so pretty so nice so tempting one huh? Why aren't they available in Singapore?! Why so tempting even to girls who don't usually use makeup, like me?! Why? Why? Why?!?!?!?!?! Someone tell me why?! *pouts*

Actually I've decided to stop buying makeup items after last night. I'm still awaiting arrival of my mineral makeup items from Twisted Fayte and my Majolica Majorca stuff from Japan. Although I've never tried loose powder or bought any items from MAC or Shu Uemura or Stila or many other brands before... I believe I have enough basic makeup items to last me a couple of years from now~ LOL!

Will be back with more EOTDs!! So much makeup now, don't use really wasteful wor! So stay tuned~~~ (^_^)

MM wishlist - wishes come true!
